Spring Has Sprung!
Here at Sadie May Studios Spring has most definitely sprung! Gardens are awash with colour and the bright green haze of fresh new leaves emerging is bringing life to the landscape around us.
We travelled to Dymock in Gloucestershire over the weekend to see the beautiful expanses of wild daffodils. As usual they were a picture, creating a tapestry of Spring colour and textures along the roadside verges and in the woodlands where they grow alongside the white starry flowers of the wood anemone.
Try bringing some Spring colour into your own garden by planting perennials like Pulmonaria ‘Opal’, Omphaloides cappadocica ‘Cherry Imgram’ and Helleborus x hybridus. These plants will bring colour and life to any garden large or small.
If you feel like visiting a garden over the Easter weekend some of our favourites for Spring colour are Caerhays Castle, a wonderful garden in Cornwall where you can find a magnificent display of Magnolia and Camellia, or Spetchely Park garden in Worcestershire for the carpets of daffoldils of all varieties.
